2. I have a CRB check, why do I need another one?
As with most major employers in the UK Workshop Network have a strict CRB policy. We advertise and guarantee that all of our artists are CRB checked at the point of registration. This is what makes us one of the safest and most reliable places to find freelance creative arts tutors in the U.K. We cannot accept old CRB checks because of portability issues, secondly because we would have no way of telling if any incidents had happened in that artists professional or personal life from the date of their last check to their point of registration. We are responsible for thoroughly checking suitability and cannot take risks with these checks. We empathise entirely with artist who have been through several checks before, yet we cannot risk any incidences that may lead to our reputation being at risk, more importantly any of our workshop participants being at risk. However, the CRB check will only be refreshed after a three year period and we expect all artists to recuperate their registration fee within one workshop booking. Back to top

3. Are there any further fees involved?

4. How much work am I likely to get?
We set a target for each of our artists and as a pro-active target based agency expect to be able to provide each artist with a minimum of twelve full days work per year. This is a minimum target. We are developing consistent relationships with many clients as part of our growth as a young business . As with all businesses Workshop Network cannot guarantee any minimum amount of work. Workshop Network does not insist our artists carry their own insurance, we do advise our artists to as we believe it improves employability. We are still happy to represent artists without their own insurance. Back to top
