"Japanese Sho Du Brush Writing and Calligraphy" at Rufford Craft Centre November 22nd.
09/10/2009
This is a fantastic opportunity for people to learn and experience some authentic elements of Japanese culture with the daughter of a Samurai family.
Workshop Network artist Akemi Solloway will be leading a workshop for adults to attend at Rufford Craft Centre & Country Park on November 22nd from 10.30 a.m. till 4.30 p.m.
Set in the beautiful grounds of Rufford Abbey participants will learn the swordsman like style of Sho Du Brush Writing, experience first hand the Japanese Tea Ceremony from an authenticated practitioner and will also have the chance to learn about Kimono wearing traditions and perhaps even get to try some Origami too.
Akemi is a fascinating workshop leader who still takes regular trips to and exchange projects with her native country Japan.
There are still a few places available for the day and the one day course costs just £45 (£40 Concessions) for further details please contact us here at www.workshopnetwork.co.uk Or call 08700 600 264 E-mail: info@workshopnetwork.co.uk
