Christmas Panto & Urban Arts! A rather unique blend...
26/11/2009
We are pleased to inform you of another successful workshop held recently with Deighton Gates Primary School in Leeds recently. Half Big Draw workshop and half Christmas Pantomime scenery creation and all Urban Arts, what a mix! Jonathon Hindson and his team led the sessions in November and the idea was to both introduce participants to some urban arts skills and techniques but also then create the scenery for the school panto utilising the recently learnt skills and abilities.
The workshop went well, the scenery looks great and each participant also got to create their own individual Urban Art pictures to take away. All in all a very busy bur rewarding day for the participants and workshop leader alike!
Here's the feedback and as usual i can only say how good it is to hear such positive things about the service Workshop Network and our fantastic Workshop Leaders provide!
From, Ivan Lister, the co-ordinator for the project…
"Just a note to express our complete satisfaction with today's project. Jonathan and the team have worked really well with the children and have made a fabulous job of the scenery flats. Everyone who has seen the results is delighted. The pupils have really enjoyed the project and I am looking forward to developing the techniques within school on a number of murals and other art display projects that we have planned. Thanks for the great work. Please pass on our congratulations to Jonathan and his team, and I will do my best to promote your service within our group of schools within Leeds when the opportunity arises, including when we put on our panto this Christmas."
Perfect, we're glad the session went well and hope to work with the team at Deighton Gates Primary again in the New Year!
