Indian Dance workshops at St Leonard's Primary in Tamworth

One of our cultural end of term projects was delivered recently at St Leonard’s School in Tamworth. We had two days of Indian arts projects to fit in with the schools cultural week. First of all Workshop Network artist Sohan Kailey led some very successful Indian Dance Classes and this was followed by Karen Woods who delivered Rangoli workshops.

Things have been a little quiet with regards to news from the Workshop Network camp of late! This doesn't mean that we haven't been busy though. Old news but good news!

So a while back in February we had two of our Workshop Network leaders out on an assignment at St Paul's CE Primary School in Brighton!
The school was working on a Ugandan project and they approached us for some traditional African and visual arts workshops. "Spray Time" Article from The Bridlington Free Press Newspaper

"Learning about making stencil art proved so popular it is to be repeated later this month at North Bridlington Library. Jonathon Hindson, i well known stencil artist, who has illustrated graphic novels and comics, came up from Nottingham to teach his skills to 26 local teenagers at North Bridlington Library.
The technique involves cutting out multi-layered designs and then spraying paint through each one in turn to build into a picture.
